Avery's class had a picnic to celebrate the last day of school. Her daddy and Mimi went to join her for the picnic lunch and jumpies.

Avery with her teachers, Mrs. Olga and Mrs. ElizabethAvery loved school this year. She learned so much from her teachers. One day I asked her to count to 10 in Spanish, completely thinking she would need help. To my amazement she rattled off all 10 numbers. When I asked her who she learned that from, she replied, "Mrs. Olga."
One of Avery's favorite things to do is to read books. She pulls out her rocking chair with a stack of books and has RJ and I sit down. We all have to do "Criss, cross applesauce; hands in your lap." She then "reads" to us with comments like, "This is one of my favorite books" or "You're going to love this story." We love the times we just get to sit and listen to her.
