Paleontologist Avery

For Thanksgiving, we went up to visit Ena and AJ. On Wednesday morning, we took Avery to the children's museum because these days she LOVES dinosaurs. Dinosaur Train is her favorite show. She names several types of dinosaurs and uses words like carnivores and theropods. Look, there's a pteranodon!
Avery was little frightened by the loud roaring sounds they were playing in the exhibit, but she adjusted after a few minutes.
Here's a fossil!
digging for fossils - We thought she might never leave this part of the exhibit.
This is a femur bone from a dinosaur that was a close relative of the t-rex.
Another exhibit was on the arctic and Antarctica - polar bears and penguins. Avery got to slide like a penguin on ice.
She practiced waddling in penguin tracks.
And of course, a trip to the museum is not complete without a ride or two on Indianapolis' oldest carousel.
The water play area was fun as we played with boats, balls, and toy turtles.
